Well a very entertaining game and they are the best side I have seen for a few seasons at this level. The fact we stayed in the game was a credit to the players who worked their socks off and gave everything they had against a team that should win the league in my opinion. How good was their number 2 who gave Tiago a torrid afternoon and I have to say he looked as if he could play 2 or 3 levels higher. Big shout out to the referee who provided the comedy for the afternoon with his Mr Bean like performance ( Are you serious mate? ) In summary if we put in that sort of performance for the rest of the season we will win games and have an outside chance of staying up. Speaking to their fans I believe their right back is on loan from Argyle (I think). Although we worked hard we use say that if their usual striker was playing it could have been worse! Staying positive though, we took our goals well and at times looked a decent side. I still think we are a bit slow in the final third and do seem to give the ball away in silly positions.
All you can say about the ref (and in general refs at this level) is that he was consistent. Consistently shit, but consistent none the less! I did recognise him when he made his first booking and from memory he was just the same last time. The booking of Robbie was particularly daft!
I would imagine when Laird is ready and Rose is back (won't hold my breath) that Franklyn will move into midfield with Billy and one other from Winnie, Sean Wright and the new lad Harry Gardner. Apparently Leigh feels we have too many midfielders and is looking to move some on.
So in conclusion, better but still not quite good enough. I remain hopefully though.

i personally think if tom blair was on the pitch adding that goal threat he has , and rose was fit and playing and as you said franklyn moved up to mid this result could of been very different , i know truro had couple of players missing as well, but with these two players added to the line up different result for me,

It was a good performance against a top side, but unfortunately it's too late for good performances. We need points and we need them badly. We are now 6 points off safety have played 2 games more than any teams around us!

Probably need about 40 points to give us a chance of staying up. So we only need 25 points from the 17 games we have left! So 8 wins and a draw or 7 wins and 4 draws will see us reach that total. So we need to start picking up points soon.
Didn't see the Truro game but it sounds like a better performance against a good team. We finally seem to have a management team who know what is required to compete at this level, let's hope it's not too late for this season.
