The game that attracted the big crowd featured Dutch goalkeeper Hans Segers formally of Wimbledon who signed for Woking mid week following his acquittal of match fixing charges only a few days earlier. Also the referee was a controversial character who had sent off a Premiership player also that week, however I can not remember his name, perhaps someone out there can remember his moniker.

I remember the game Grandad, I think the ref was ‘demoted’ because of the dodgy red card. Can’t remember who it was but foggy memory tells me Leicester were involved?

I remember the game Grandad, I think the ref was ‘demoted’ because of the dodgy red card. Can’t remember who it was but foggy memory tells me Leicester were involved? Chelsea v Leicester feb 27th fa cup replay. Referee Mike Reed awarded a late penalty to Chelsea which was dubious. He was demoted after Martin O’Neil, amongst others, had complained. Here is a shirt YouTube clip of the game and incident in question.
