Obviously we all know what Luke is capable of, but is there any feedback on Toby? Will he score goals in the South & West Division 1 & will these two be missed by Dorchester?

Very shocked at this as i thought DTFC had been after Luke for ages before we finally got him mid way through last season. I was under the impression hearing talk at the club that we were going to build a team around the likes of Luke and the other young players and build up gradually over the next 1 or 2 seasons and then have a team capable of pushing for promotion in 2 or 3 years time. I know we have/had our problems but this makes not too good reading as it looks like we are losing players to a localish team playing at a lower level. So is it they are picking up on the feeling of a lack of ambition at DTFC ambition and being given the feeling of ambition at Wimborne, bearing in mind all the problems they had last season. i would hope it is not down to just money but that they honestly believe that they can improve and play at a high level in time. Of course people will say it's because Matt Holmes is manager there, but he is inexperienced although he does seem to have whats needed to make a good manager only time will tell. As with most supporters i know the Directors,Staff and of course Players deserve time off in the close season to be with their families and the players may even be contracted to the start of June but it does make me feel uneasy when other clubs are already signing players and all we know is we have lost 3 players. I know the echo have just said that 6 players are about to sign but of course not saying who they are, which is another point i find uneasy in that the echo have said this but surely it should be coming from the club before the echo even knows about it. Could be a lack of communication as people are on holiday. I know the club were dealt a massive blow with the council stopping the park n ride and losing a major income so perhaps the budget did take alot of changing to what was ear marked at the end of last season, but losing Luke especially looks like we cant match the ambition of lower league clubs which is then worrying as other players may see this as sign of struggles ahead.
Although this may come across as i am having ago at the board and being negative it is not meant to be, as i can appreciate the time, effort and money that they put into the club throughout the year behind the scenes with little credit to give us a club to support. Without their imput we would be really in trouble as it does not matter what people say the only way the club can survive is down the co owners path as there is just not anyone out there waving a blank cheque to be spent on DTFC. I know the club seems to shoot itself in the foot but really we all need to bury our differences with directors/board members (for what ever is the cause) etc and push in the same direction instead of arguing between ourselves.
Just my little rant but seems like the great feeling felt this time last season is starting to ebb away from people i have been speaking too.

So rumour has it, both Luke and Toby were 2 of the six that had reportedly agreed terms, in the OHEC last week.
What has this club become? Think we are doomed.

Cherry magpie. Bugger me didn't know about Charlie till I just came back on here . Two of our midfield disappearing in one day if we lose Franklyn that will rip the heart well and truly out. I just hope Jem has planned for this scenario as if he had these 2 plus Toby as signing this week then surely we got problems. Also what a stupid question the echo asked Matthews about Charlie of course he is going to say he's not bothered about Dorchester he's only looking after his own team although of course it gives the echo chance to stir it up with Charlie and Dorchester when it comes to the games. Looking hopefully to the future Phil
