According to club tweet this evening. Remains to be decided whether the whole season is declared null and void or based on current league table.

will have to be null and void i would imagine . you cant relegate teams that had a chance to stay up and not promote teams that had a chance of promotion . this virus is a bad thing but maybe a life line to dorch staying up, and a chance for the new management to get next season sorted ,

I can accept going down on the pitch it’s gutting but you know the rules I can’t accept a computer doing PPG football is played on the pitch. VAR in the PL I hate and now non league thinking of letting a computer decide results.

As I said on previous post this has to be the right decision so well done to them. As for next season, for alot of clubs money will be tight, our income has stopped so it will take good will by all and lifting of restrictions to get money to go forward, the board and us have alot to do.

Well according to the BBC on their sports page, this decision has yet to be finalised by the FA and over 60 clubs are threatining legal actions.
We're just have to wait and see
Keep safe and well everyone

But I don't see the Magpies as having sent a letter which I fully understand given the circumstances, but I hope this doesn't come back and bite us on the b*m if we don't show solidarity

Discount all the signatures on the letter which are from teams who would get promotion if the league went to PPG and you're left with very few signatures at all.
Whatever decision the FA made people were going to be unhappy, if the league went to PPG and teams who were 1 point off promotion with 10 games left missed out they'd also be fuming, sign letters and threaten legal action. Frankly, the decision has been made and the clubs who are signing the letter do need to just grow up and get on with it, as I hope we would do if we went down because of PPG. I would be absolutely mortified if our club demanded the FA change their decision to benefit us, and supporters of the clubs trying to use bureaucratic tricks to win the league should also be embarrassed.
I'm also fully aware that some club, like Jersey Bulls, had already mathematically won their league, and this decision does truly suck for them but their are in the minority out of the clubs that are complaining.

Why would you be mortified? No football club should be worse off after this on the pitch. It’s hard enough with nothing coming in and trying to get that side of the business side going without dropping a league and the impact relegation has on a club. It’s abhorrent to think a computer can decide everything. You play each side home and away that decides the final positions and can be no disputing. Maybe promote but some may be better off but no club should be worse off on the pitch. Hope everybody is aswell as can be in these times

Hope everybody is aswell as can be in these times Maybe mortified wasn't the right word, I do agree with you that the FA have chosen the best of a bad selection of options and N&V makes the most sense. My point was more its embarrassing seeing so many clubs invent arguments in favour of PPG but when you pull back the mask it's just "we are top of the league on PPG and I want to be promoted so give me promotion". While (in the purely hypothetical scenario of the FA deciding to use PPG to end the season) I would be angry with this decision, I feel the club would just be met with the accusation that "you are by far the worst team in the league, you were going down anyway and are looking for ways out of it" - which wouldn't seem far from the truth for many. Hope you are also doing well in these times.
