Yet today Wolves payed out 37mill for a defender(just one example) and yet leagues are asking for bailouts from the government, how long do you think it will take for none sports fans to start to say, hang on, why is my tax subsidising a sport that throws millions away to players and their agents?

Just popped back to this thread, as according to the BBC the Premier league teams alone have spent over one billion in transfer fees,so how can football as a whole expect the government (us tax payers) to bail out teams from lower divisions when even their own are giving millions to agents etc.
Something will have to give :-(

You are so right Tom, the players and leaders of Premiership are basically giving the Vs up to the rest. I'm alright Jack the rest of football take a jump. This is why a couple of years ago I cancelled all sports channels While people watch pay per view it will not get better. Do not blame governments if your club goes bust in EFL, there is plenty of money to go around with goodwill by the top clubs.
