I see on the official club site that DTFC are still stating that a new 3GPitch is scheduled to be layed down at the ave this summer. On the old forum I stated that this was never gonna happen & from the iron road I have yet to notice any devolpments so far. Though to be fair to to the CBS board, summer does not start till June 20th @ 06:34

Speaking about the official club website, anyone know why it's reverted back to the old one? I think that page on 3G was from a couple of years ago, and sadly new FA laws have come into place to make the process a lot less straight forward. I do hope there is still a possibility of a 3G pitch in the pipeline, even if it's not for a few more years yet. Perhaps an official from the club can confirm any developments on this?

Well I hope something happens because as we are now ground sharing with Dorchester Sports then what is already a quadmire of a pitch come November, I dread to think what our pitch will be like with the prospect of possibly 3, maybe 4 matches a week come Jan/Feb, I hope Jems is looking at the long ball game option :-(

I share those thoughts Tom,
I would love to know the thought process behind this? Income will negligible compared to what AFC Bournemouth / Yeovil Town brought whilst sharing. I stand to be corrected. Our pitch struggles at the best of times! 2 years ago we had 8 weeks of consecutive home games due to cup runs etc. what if this happens again?
I would love to know how close the vote was for the CBS and speak to those members and why they thought this was a good idea?

This decision wasn't put to the CBS members. It was a board decision with zilch consultation.

I would also be interested to hear if a decision to install a 3G pitch would be put before members for a formal vote?
At the moment I know that their is a significant amount of work going on to move towards a 3G pitch (something that i support)
Imagine after securing funding for a pitch that the membership then voted against the idea at the eleventh hour?
I have been told that the issue of the pitch will be put before members due to it being a significant one. I would have assumed that a ground share would be the same.
