Great to see Jon Vance on the bench. What a plus he will be when fully fit.
Presumably Taylor, Jevon, Bastick and Lanahan are all injured but are Griggs and DPD on their way out?

Griggs is still suspended and DPD was at the game on the weekend. He didn't play as he wasn't selected to be part of the matchday squad. Where and who did you hear from Birdman that either had left, seems way off the mark to me.

At least someone replies! This is not just my assumption as I am not the first person to say this. If you look back, Ivanalevel was the first to post that DPD and Griggs were on the way out and I heard that this was true! Come-on cowboy, I am not sure how you feel about Griggs and from your former postings, we know your views on DPD! Not being included on Saturday, it has to be true but this is football! Like I said, I hope we get a win tonight and play for the whole 90 minutes, not 45! It is good to see Jon Vance back, even though he is knocking on in years! Can't believe Beasley is still in the squad. He should have gone ages ago!

Glad to see them leave if it’s true, hopefully it will give the Wessex league players a chance as from all the games I have been to this season you can clearly see there experience and footballing ability is far greater when playing DPD and Griggs they have often cost us games and don’t offer much where as with Beasley you get his raw pace and his end product can sometimes be lacking during a game but his set pieces and delivery are first class and some of the best I have seen in the league.

Why was DPD at the game if he was not selected to be in the starting squad? This must surely show he is on the way out? If a player coming back from a long-term injury is in the starting squad and Beasley also playing, surely DPD is on his way? Just to be clear, I was not the first to mention this! Like I just said to Cowboy, Ivanalevel was the first to post this! I heard through the grapevine that Thompson didn't want Griggs or DPD, so assumed Ivanalevel's statement to be right! All I hope is that we get a win tonight!

What league have you been watching? Beasley's free kicks would be good in a rugby game! Raw pace with nothing at the end of it! Can't hold a ball up, does naff all to help the team. He is rubbish!! He needs to be playing for the retirement home, not even the Wessex League! When has Griggs cost us a game? He is one of the most talented youngsters about! Oh yes, when I say youngsters, I mean 18 and not pretending to be something he isn't! Beasley should be put out to graze now as you do an old nag! Unlike Jon Vance, who still has something to offer! DPD hasn't played enough to cost us any games! You obviously wasn't at the Basingstoke game, when he was the most influential player on the pitch! Again, 18! So glad you aren't picking the side! I think you need to get your glasses checked!

If they are both as talented as you’re making them out to be why would they have been let go by Bournemouth and Eastleigh academies? The Wessex league players should be playing more as they can bring a physical edge to the game and players who are gunna actually throw there bodies on the line for the team and the club.

Sorry Birdman but I made no statement that Griggs and DPD were leaving. They are both promising young players and I was surprised that neither were in the squad to play Hereford. Knowing that Thompson must soon have to release players I was asking whether anyone knew if they were leaving.
A question and a statement are two entirely different things. I asked a question.
I'm just an enthusiastic supporter and unlike you, apparently, I have no inside knowledge about the behind the scenes going on at the club.

Birdman - Not sure how we can let go of players who are on contracts?
I don't feel DPD and Griggs are first eleven yet but they should be on the bench and would much rather see DPD play ahead of Beasley. Beasley may be quick at Wessex level but he can't keep up at this level, his set pieces have been terrible and he gets pushed off the ball easily. Also not fussed if Chris Clarke leaves, he is nowehere near the level of Neil Martin. I would keep Carmichael and Bastick though.

Thanks for the reply cowboy, how many games have you been to? I’ve been to every home game so would class my self as a reasonable judge of the situation compared to some of you know it alls on here.

I see DPD is in the starting 11 tonight, top marks to the club for releasing him and resigning him again so quickly, birdman must be pleased.
