Ex Terras did a job tonight. It's not as if there was much opposition.

Good to see DPD and Jerrard on the scoresheet tonight, given they've been released by the club about 5 times in the last fortnight...

Ex Terras did a job tonight. It's not as if there was much opposition. You assume we care what you think. News for you we don't. Now run off back to your Chickerell caravan.

I don't think anyone will get carried away, Gosport were poor, which says how dodgy our defence is to concede two against them.
Rodriguez was man of the match for me, pace and bags of skill.

Just to get it back on thread. Was chatting to a few Irish supporters waiting for their Cardiff flights at Dublin airport yesterday morning. Really great people fantastic buzz about the place and the look on their faces when I told them I too was flying over for a game at Dorch v Gosport! They said they would look out for the result and yes they did message me this morning. A great result for both teams and maybe the start of an Irish supporters club.
As for the game itself well even given the opposition it was a great result and a real confidence boost for the whole club. Games like this can go horribly wrong but we could easily have scored more. Another plus is that the manager would have learnt a lot during that 15 min spell in the second half when they scored 2 and we lost our shape. At least this time it did not cost us points!

Anybody else remember the Dublin Chesters? The he story goes like this - every year, they travelled across to England for one weekend to follow their big, premiership team - Liverpool or some such.. But out they got bored of doing so and so agreed in a bar in Dublin whilst watching the Sky Sports teleprinter results come through that they'd allow randomness to take its course - and that they'd follow the next team to come up.. And that team was Dorchester Town - 'where the fook is that?' they all said in unison. But, sure enough a couple of months later, they got s flight to Bournemouth and headed down to the Avenue - it was a glamour tie between Dorchester and Rothwell and it ended 0-0 but the craic we had in the bar afterwards was incredible. It was in the days of Mark Morris and I think they might have ended up going back to his pub in Christchurch.. They came over once again - a Dorchester Weymouth derby I think - but we seem to have lost touch with them now. It would be ace to find out what those guys are up to now.. Sean

Given the cost of a pint in Dublin maybe we could market it as a cheap weekend footy break. Would certainly liven the ground up a bit!

Very smartly dressed and very vocal. Put us Magpies fans to shame with the volume and good humour of their support. It would be great to see them back one day.
