Great performance, great to see the forward players play with such freedom & enjoyment. Thought Weale and the back 4 looked great too. Shame Blake missed his chance but really could of scored more! Well played lads!!!!!

Brilliant result and performance was expecting to get beat today but the WHOLE team put in a shift and a half today from the moment we took the lead through to the end we also had the that bit of luck we seem to have had lacking in the last few years the ref spotted the handball which a lot would have missed just before half time Weale's saves and the post coming to the rescue so we could go in 2 up only taking a minute to get over conceading their goal ... we looked and were really threatening going forward and it could quite easily have been 7 or 8 in the end .... it has to be said the ref reffed the game really well and got most if not all the big decisions right ... I haven't been to The Avenue in the last few years as much as I would have liked for reasons you all know why (if you all know me that is) but it does have to be said that I am beginning to really enjoy going again Thommo and Trev have really got this team more organised and if like today they can cut out some of the stupid mistakes in defence and the forwards take their chances we will win a lot more than we will lose ... already looking forward to next week's trip to Merthyr

You have to laugh at that rag called the Dorset echo. Their final comment 'Dorchester get a good but, eventful win. Why the but ? We have just smashed one of the top teams in the league and yet the usual 'faint praise crap' from the Chickerell based rag!!!. Let me write it for you . Dorchester smashed one of the best teams in the league who were lucky to get away with a 4-1 stuffing . Give credit were it is due that was a fantastic performance no ifs no buts.

To be fair it is only on Twitter i can find these remarks, so i would expect its someone sat on a computer somewhere (not at the ground, different name credited than normal as well) and seeing the tweets come in that kettering had one off and not taking any notice at all on the rest. Quite simply if they dont send anyone to games nowadays and rely on someone sat in front of a computer watching ALL local sports teams (any sports not just footie) Twitter/Facebook feeds to run their sections we cant hope that they can get near the truth as to what happened just read the main Echo website news board everyday and then read the comments of each story soon realise its just not Dorchester FC. As you say Wingnut we took apart a top team. The Ref seemed to know they would try to bully us and didnt let them get away with it from the start which i think messed up their game plan and then we kept on closing them down so they could't play the way they wanted. A fantastic performance from all players yesterday yes we rode our luck at times but it was about time things went for and not against us.

Just seen the headlines/match report on the Echo website. Very good, positive, upbeat written by a certain Terry Spracklen, not an Echo reporter so no doubt proving there was no reporter at the home game yesterday.

Still buzzing ! Thanks for the comments Phil ! When you beat a top side 4-1 it should be all positive ! Just happy for all at the club as it has been a difficult few months
