Just crumbled after half an hour, not much more to say...
Some positives though, Blair's finish was quality, Diaz played his heart out and Weale was on form (apart from the shit show that was the 3rd goal).
First game I've seen in person since Weymouth at home, and Thompson seems to be a huge improvement on Laird.

Going to guess injury/illness basically raped us of half a squad?

Leadership? Squad quality? Basic financial generation to support a level of football? It is pretty basic. Not the club it was.

Weymouth have quality management & players. I think that is the difference between the clubs.

Weymouth have quality management & players. I think that is the difference between the clubs. Agree Weymouth have a good set up, but I think you are being harsh on Thompson, he has come into a team built by another manager, that have performed well below expectations and lack the fitness levels he demands, he has to work with what he has been given I think Thompson is the most qualified and experienced manager we have had at the Magpies for several years (possibly going back to Shaun Brooks?), but it will take him time to sort the mess out. . Regarding Weymouth, not really a concern of Mine but if I was a Weymouth supporter (🤢🤢🤢), I would question how a squad like that can be financed given their attendances, but if they make the play offs I would say the gamble would have paid off.

Agree very much agree on Thompson. If people remember back to what I said a few weeks ago under Thommo we are in the top half if you only include his record. The problem we face is the league table reads 20th and that is what people see. Whilst we have improved he inherited a side devoid of confidence, conceding goals for fun, large dis jointed squad. Slowly we are getting there and we are 100% better than we were IMO. I said all through pre season the squad was not good enough for our aims and aspirations as a club I maintain that however you cannot get rid of all as those you want are set up at a club it's a matter of doing what we can get a clear identity and add where we can until the summer. It's frustrating as hell writing off another season not even half way through. Things are not perfect but he's not a miricle worker things are better we have a clear identity we look to win games again. We now have 4 home games win a few of those and we will move up as just above is quite clogged and things will look better ahead of Boxing Day. UTM

Personally, I think that Thommo is on course to be our best and most lauded manager since Mark Morris.
Let’s see.. i’m Certainly in Cherry’s camp though..

Fair point & I didn't intend to be harsh. Like you say, he can only work with what he has & it will take time. Thompson has a good pedigree & can maybe turn things around. Weymouth, undoubtedly, benefit from the managers experience at Bournemouth.
