what a day as the circus rolled back into town ,thought we dominated the the first half but went in 2 down something was missing ?? oh yes a STRIKER .... WTF IS HAPPENING HERE I HAVE SEEN IT ALL NOW ,we are playing a team top of the league we have the second top goal scorer in the league fit yes FIT. and guess what we will stick him on the bench with another striker that by the way scored a quality goal ..and we will start the game with no strikers WTF???i believe the way we played the first halve if these or at least one of them had started the result would of been very different .nice runs from blair pinging the ball over but into an empty box ,very bad tactics once again ,for a team thats top of the league i thought they looked very average ,

Absoulute agree with you I could not of worded your post better.i was asked on fri who plays for Tiverton my first name came out stop Chris shepherd ( if fit ) he had been I thawn in the side against Dorch previously ;( for Weymouth at the stadium he scored Salsbury he scored and yes.for Tiverton he got 2 and made one .makes me wonder do the wet behind the ear coaching these days do there homework on opposition players and go out to man mark the danger men ( I really do not understand this so called modern day football caching ). It’s more a case of inadequate management imo. Last few managers we’ve had haven’t been deserving of the opportunity, too long have we gone for embarrassing managers tactically and they couldn’t install passion for anything. I genuinely think we should go for an ex-pro to some extent, someone who knows the game and not someone who’s only foray into football has been at academy level. Basing it on proven pedigree there’s two standouts, does anyone genuinely know why Matty Holmes insnt interested? Why haven’t we ever gone back to Mark Morris, why’s he’s been avoided for so long I don’t get it?

I’m not Jody’s biggest fan mainly through his comments after Tiverton away. As a football fan himself goes regularly to Saints I can’t think he would have been to happy either if a member of staff came out with something like that. Interesting he put his thoughts as to why he left Bath out it was quite refreshing to get the thought process behind it. Not saying I agree with it but that’s football we all have our views and opinions.
One thing I will never accuse Callum or himself of is giving anything less than everything and they both come across as proud to manage us. These players are too good to be sat where we are something is wrong. Both Callum and Jody I’m sure don’t leave anything to chance were they playing for them? Or are they understanding the messages? Is it too much to take on board? I’m thinking out loud but something is amiss somewhere.
We badly need a new manager to give us all a bit of hope and direction for the club. It’s the biggest appointment for a very long time if ever so was always going to take time. He will need to have a decent start as otherwise we will be well adrift but i do believe we have a squad far better than we are showing.

Exactly what I’m saying though about getting someone in who knows the game, who knows what we’re about and who has played at and understands the game at a higher level. Squad is evidently good enough, but fundamentally something is wrong and if the manager can come in and change that, we can stay up. We have the squad to just about do it but it needs to be the right person. We let too many goals in cheaply, defensively we look frail. We need to tighten up and be hard to beat, even if that means we seem negative at times imo. We know we can score (if he plays) but first we can’t keep giving away cheap goals. As I’ve mentioned before Matty Holmes or Mark Morris are my calls. Have we contacted them yet?

I read ages ago in the Bournemouth Echo and on Wimbornes website Matty Holmes was only interested in getting Wimborne settled in this league then he would move up to the Community Coaching Role/school side of things as that's what he is interested in and not being a full time manager. It was only a few weeks ago his brother took over as manager allowing Matty to do the role he wants to do so therefore i doubt if he would have even been interested even if he was only Wimborne manager, so not exactly turned Dorch down as such more like not interested in managing a team full time.

That’s fair enough then if it doesn’t fit in with his family life. Shame we haven’t approached Morris for such a while as I said previously. If he could replicate half of what he did before we’d be in a far better position than we find ourselves now.

That’s a good point all things considered but to me Someone of that Calibre (not necessarily saying just him but that sort of level) is where we should be aiming - not aiming for someone who’s coached the U10s at academy level.
