Zubar suspended for the Mutants but Oldring is also suspended for us. Let's go out with a bang!

Thought as Matt Oldring was sent off at Kings Lynn last Saturday the suspension comes into affect 14 days after which I thought would make him available for the Weymouth game but would miss Basingstoke. Must have got that wrong then I must pay more attention.

I lose track of bookings and suspensions and when they come in, but BrownOwen is correct, Oldring is suspended for Weymouth. Zubar is a loss for them, he marked Nathan very well down there, problem is with Oldring suspended we will probably need Nathan at the back! Since Nathan Walker has gone back to centre half we have not lost coincidence I think not. He's a communication is constant throughout and while both Oldering and Dillon are decent there both better players with Nathan Walker as he's a organiser. So I'd have thought Oldering being suspended was irrelevant in the scheme of things. Though was decent in front of the back 4 so will be missed there. It will be interesting if we start with Franklin and see how long we get before he tires or if we have him in the bench. I'd be inclined to start him and see how long we get a risk perhaps but worth it in my eyes.

See it's Ollie Bassett's last game of his loan spell. Hopefully with Critts leaving, it won't stop him having his loan extended as with losing Jem & Critts after tomorrow's game we are going to be short of 1st team game experienced players. Also anyone heard anything about Jake.

FT 1-1. Started ok, troubled them a bit. Deserved the lead. Weymouth barely had a shot on target until they scored. Once they scored they played the better stuff. Same away weymouth fans as usual though, apart from the irritating drum, you could barely hear anything.

Best Sean Indeed you did, however I hadn't seen anymore said about it so was kind of hoping something would happen that would keep him with us. Plus you never mentioned Poole!

First of all congratulations to Jem on 702 games a truly magnificent achievement on any level. Now to my main point - why do the Dorchester fans consider it ok to throw bottles and other objects at the visiting keeper? As witnessed by the ref removing a considerable amount prior to your penalty (which was definitely a pen). He also spoke to the officials before the restart so I guess this will be in his match report. Will those who threw the missiles now donate their pocket money to DTFC in the event of any fine? Wish you all the best for the remainder of the year.

People were able to witness the few idiots throwing bottles and of course any action against the club will be dealt with behind close doors, no doubt unlike your so called Supporters who at the end of the game when approached by their manager and Coaching Staff applauding them for their support thought it was big to unleash a torrent of abuse Swearing very loudly at them telling them what they thought. If your so called Supporters wish to tell your management team what they think of them i think it would be better to wait to be at your own ground, sober and approach them there so other people dont have to witness it very embarrassing to all the good people at your club when the Stewards have to step in and sort them out.

I can't comment on what happened at the end of the game but from the sounds of it I 100% agree with you. Passion and pride are on thing but missile throwing and personal abuse have no part in sport

As a Dorchester fan in the Dorchester end, the throwing bottles and stupid chants about sexual abuse may be partly what puts people off going in the first place. Perhaps Weymouth didn't act perfectly either, but I'd rather sort out our own house than pass the buck and worry about what they did.

I wasnt trying to pass the buck as you would have read in my post i said we all could see the bottles being thrown and the club no doubt would be sorting that out after the reports referees/head steward were in. Certainly enough stewards there for the game Weymouth brought plenty of theirs to manage their end not sure where the stewards in the Dorchester end came from but certainly seemed to be enough of them so question is what were they doing about identifying the bottle throwers as surely they should have been in there as soon as the first one was thrown . The stewards i saw at the Dorchester end and near the bar entrance seemed to be from a security company as they were all dressed the same possibly one of the local firms who manage the pubs but like i said until the reports are in and looked at then as supporters we dont know why things happen/went the way they did. On the chants thing there is no place for those sort of things and if you look at the ground regs posted outside/inside the ground wherever they are you will see that those sort of chants are not allowed so again why did the stewards not go and have a word surely they were there for the safety of the crowd and to enforce the ground regs or was it deemed likely to cause more trouble (drink related) if they went in to the crowd to warn people not to chant inappropriate chants. Also if the behaviour of the fans behind the goal was getting to you did you not point it out to a steward or move along as there was surely no doubt plenty of room in the Dorchester end to be away from the people causing the trouble. As i was a steward there for 12 years until 2012 i had done plenty of big games not just Weymouth ones so i know how we were briefed about what to do/not do so unless things have changed so much since then i was only going on my past experience. Dont think either 2 things help at all but there is something more than that as to why the gates are down not just at Dorchester but a lot of clubs not just Football ones are seeing their gates drop no doubt all the Football on tv does not help nor the results/performances on the pitch either so with a new manager to come in it will be interesting to see if gates still drop or start going back up.
