Just seen that we've taken another lad from Exeter on loan, appears to be a right back. Confirmed that Ben Wood & Ollie Mehew have both left and that Lewis Powell and Jordan Williams will go at the other end of the month. Will be interesting to see if any of them return next season, Laird said at the last CBS meeting that he would like Jordan to become a Dorchester player but we'll wait and see.

The reserves are having a really strong season and Billy Mitchell has impressed me on the couple of occasions I've seen him. For those who watch the ressies regularly (SB?) who else do we think could make the step up and is likely to push for a few appearances for the rest of the season?

Billy Mitchell should get a few first team opportunities now, Sam Pashen has been on the first team bench a couple of times, James Spring (left wing?) went on a good goal scoring run earlier in the season. There is a left back but I can't recall his name, he is a bit lightweight but worth a look, especially against quick wingers.

Very much agree on Toby Down, think he's been superb in the games I've seen of him. Kinda the ideal partner for Nath they compliment each other very well. An affiliation with Exeter can only be a benefit to us I feel they are renowned for bringing through the academy kids. I'm sure I read somewhere over half of the first team squad graduated from there academy. Of all the loans we have had down the years thinking Tom Nicholas / Jamie Reid and going back a number of years Daniel Seabourne ( Best defender I've seen in a Magpies shirt) were immense for us.

Toby Down looks very good wish we could sign him up but got a feeling he will be going back to Exeter very soon and if loaned out again would have thought Con South for him. Would like to see both Ollies Griggs & Davis given a run as well. Agree about Billy Mitchell think he has shown enough to be in the team for the rest of the season which can only benefit him going forwards into next season. The left back you are on about could be Dan Payne. James Spring looks like perhaps he could do something certainly worth putting him into the matchday squad to get the whole experience of training/travelling being with the first team if he can of course make the commitment, Simon Proffitt could be worth a look as well seemed to do ok when he has been in the team/squad at the end of last season. Sam Pashen has been on the fringe of the first team squad a number of times and is getting match experience with Dorchester Sports i believe. Also i believe Jamie Rawlings is playing for both the Reserves and Sports certainly added something to the Reserves since he started playing for the Reserves again maybe worth getting him involved with the first team squad and of course there is jamie Symes not sure what is going on there certainly we all know how good he could be but............. Then there is Olly Balmer certainly worth a look for a striker for the future. Where did Nick Swann disappear too as i thought he had gone out on dual reg to someone so would have thought he would have been called back to be looked at.
