Another abject display on the road conceading goals for fun. 5/7 times in Craig's away games we have conceded 3 or more you can't win football games at any level with stats like that. The personnel has changed a lot from the first to yesterday, which begs various questions about the preparation? Are we leaving to early? Too late? They may sound daft questions they are but this is a real problem. Are the players focused? Are we giving them excuses it's human nature to take them we all do it in life.
I go back to the Basingstoke game on 2nd Jan now I've seen many football games. We were pretty depleated in numbers and with all due respect ability but to a man gave everything, I'd go as far to say heroic effort/ commitment some great individual displays and the overall team. To the shambles on the road since. Craig takes in my eyes responsibility for a few we were set up rather naive, Leamington springs to my mind.
Craig has the season to prepare for next season barring a footballing miricle we are safe. The above isn't all criticism I'm frustrated I'm fed up of going away and see us fold next year I just want a side to be proud of knowing they will give every ounce.

I thought this was a frustrating game. Both teams were low on ability and at times it was pretty awful to watch but for 70 minutes of the game I felt we were the better side. We spent 40 minutes camped in their half for the first 45 without really threatening but the few times they did break away we were neat and organised. We then concede after a set piece in their half which we make a shambles of and see them break away. From that moment onwards you could see confidence draining out of the players. They seemed to lack any belief they could come back and I couldn't hear anyone on the pitch encouraging them. We concede a stupid penalty and then pretty much stopped trying. I appreciate this is still a work in progress but we need some wins to build confidence. Problem is I don't see any goals in us as things stand. Maybe it's all about belief but it looked pretty bleak on Saturday.
Highlight of the game was us knicking a lads football and having a kick about for a few minutes. Culminating in a glorious moment when the kid wanted his ball back and smoothly tackled Sean despite being a third his size...

" I think we played really well"
A quote attributed to Craig Laird after Saturdays defeat. If that's what he thinks playing well is we have major problems.

He's in a bind here though mate as the team looked starved of confidence. You don't want to kick them when they're down, especially as most are young lads. I do think for 60 minutes we did a few things well. Organised & controlled if without threatening. If you could have added some cutting edge to that we'd have probably would have won.

I'm not suggesting he lambast the players in public as confidence is an issue perhaps and granted it's a young ish squad but don't hide the truth. The second half we crumbled nobody was there to be counted cajoluling the rest up. The first half we were okay as you said organised but nothing more than that.
