If we get the assistant who's name is going round, I would be massively excited about our future!!

I read it the same way, very much doubt he'll be around next season but if he's replaced by the Devon lad it'll be a good move.

Decent interview with Heathy that, and his sentiments I completely agree with. Its refreshing to see someone at the club acknowledge our underachievements as a football club over the past 3 years. Whether he remains in the clubs plans next season remains to be seen, but if the new assistant mentioned in this thread is who I think it is, it'll be a magnificent appointment for the club. Fingers crossed it'll happen.

On a separate note, I see Gary Bailey has left Portland. Don't know how it works down there but on paper at least he's done a sterling job. Think I read that he was Heath's no.2 prior to Heath coming to us. 2+2=?

I don't think the assistant who's name was going around in March is coming to us now. I can't see Gary Bailey coming to us either as he said in the ECHO that he is looking to take time out of the game. It wouldn't surprise me though if Craig's number 2 will be someone from the local football scene who knows the club and area really well.
It would be great to see Rich Robson as Assistant Manager in a combined role with managing the reserves, where he has done a sterling job.
