As a lot of you have probably seen on the club social media, next season I am running a "Sponsor a Goal" scheme as a way of raising money for the playing budget. Basically it works by supporters "pledging" various amounts of money for events in a game (£2 for every goal, £1 for every home win, £2 for every Blair yellow card etc..) and if the event that you "pledged" for happens you pay the money directly into the playing budget. "Pledges" can be recurring for every game, or be one-offs. Every month, each £1 pledged accounts for one ticket in a prize draw to win a family matchday ticket. Pledges can be sent to pledge@dorchestertownfc.co.uk or @dtfcpledge on Twitter. You could also pledge on here if you wish, but please could you provide an email address or Twitter handle so I can get hold of you. dorchestertownfc.co.uk/sponsor-a-goal/ - For more information

Well done Owen, this has a lot of potential as a long-term fundraiser, hopefully people will get behind it.

Hi Owen, not sure if we know each other yet as in the past I have sponsored a goal, mostly under Stacys time, could you please count me in as £1 a goal(or is it set at £2?) for the whole season and happy to pay out once a month, think I have a paypal account? For obvious reasons not gonna give my email out on here, yet if it's possible to do this through the "pm" then please contact me. Hope this time the good work actually goes through, as the last few times I put my name forward, I never received any bills and if those accounts are still outstanding, then if someone from the club wants to contact me, happy to settle up 😀

There is no set ammount so I will be able to count you in at £1 a goal! Thank you for that! I will PM you so I can get your email to send you any bills when they occur.
