The trouble Cam is that he has, according to the OHEC, signed on a no contract basis so in effect he can at any time walk away or after the usual 7 day notice, be signed by any other club so I am not too sure he could be classed as being " tied down" I too have heard decent things about this lad and will be interesting to see how he develops but bearing in mind as a non contract player he can only be paid incurred expenses I would suspect that if he starts to show real promise other clubs will be all over the situation

To be fair. DTFC have a pretty good track record of making sure players are on the right contracts or not, so I actually trust the club in these situations.

Your right Dayvan in that once a player is on a contract it affords the club protection if a player is the subject of a transfer but that protection comes at a cost for a contracted player has to be paid week in week out be they in team, injured, on holiday ( contract players in theory are entitled to the same paid holidays and other benefits) Over the years there is no doubt that DTFC have had the majority of their players on a contract but these are different days and it will becomes a far more difficult balancing act.
