Bearwish has popped up with a few goals pre-season, worth a punt?

Bearwish has popped up with a few goals pre-season, worth a punt? If Eastleigh agree to a loan be a useful addition as we are rather dependent on Ormerod. Some decent stuff last night the style was very evident and looked good at times even with the changes. The only time we looked a little dis jointed was after the Portland goal. Stand outs to me Crit Clarke really impressed me. Beasley for the 3rd goal the turn of pace and cross top notch. UTM

Overall a very good performance from the team, obviously still need a bit of work but no major worries after last night.
One slight concern though is how easily Blair lost his temper last night. Admittedly the Portland players were going for him but he needs to get used to that at our level of football. Hopefully that will fix with age though so won't be an issue for long!

Tom Blairs temper was a problem last season, I had hoped he would have improved but last night was shocking, in a competitive match he would have been sent off.
Bastick's goal was a good finish and I didn't realise how quick Beasley is for Bearwish's second.
Storey looks very good at centre back.

Let's not villafy Tom here he's a young lad who broke into a struggling team in a mans league. What we all liked about him he was not afraid of the physical side of the game. Does he go to far? Yes on occasions it's frustrating as gets into scrapes in a game he doesn't need too but it's a learning process. Certain players need that that bit of needle in a game to preform thinking Roy Keane / Wayne Rooney.
On the one hand fans are donating money for yellow cards in a jokey manner then on the other he's being criticised for doing that. Can't have it both ways?
Big season for Tom as sure he would have aspirations to make a living out the game.. Brave move by Craig / the board handing 2 year deals out. Not even our club captain last season had one puts it into the perspective the faith and hopes they have for him.

Tom has done incredibly well breaking into our side in this league, and it is refreshing to see a young player who embraces the physical side of the game. My frustration wasn't that he gets into scraps, just that sometimes it seems he picks fights which are unneeded (i.e. off the ball incidents and acts of frustration, such as against Portland's No.11 the other night) which in a competitive game could see him sent off and cost us points. But as we have both said, he is young and this is all a learning process and if he learns to control his temper and use it well in games he could very well have a good crack at making a living out of the game.
