Always exciting to start a new season, but I must say I am more concerned than usual and it is hard to take too many positives from pre season. We finished last season so poorly but what else was there to do but trust Laird.
The signing of Weale looks a real positive but since then no others signings have really captured the imagination. We have signed a lot of midfielders when our real issues seem to be scoring and conceding.
A few questions. With the reorganisation of the pyramid at the end of the season with a new Midlands league do we know how this will affect relegation/promotion? Has Dillon picked up another club? Would love to see him back? Midweek fixtures on a Monday, was this imposed by the league or a choice of the club? I can't see it having an effect on at attendencies much either way, but I always enjoy a Tuesday night er.

Promotion is as normal in our league, but only one team will go down.
Dills is apparently quite enjoying the time away from football so if we could have him back is an unknown at the moment.
Monday nights way entirely the decision of the management. The league leaves it up to the clubs to decide when to play midweek, and we chose Monday in order to allow the management to better scout games.

I believe there is one relegation spot this season.
Trevor said at the fans forum Dillon had not at that point had his surgery, but didn't seem in any hurry to get back to football.
Monday night was a decision put forward a year ago by Mark and Nick, but it was too late to register it with the league, so it was put back. I think it is more to do with rest times (forcing an away club to travel so soon after a Saturday) than attendances. It has worked well for other clubs.
