Just seen the bar will be open at 11am with booze being served from 11:30.
Any predictions? My head tells me that we are in for a (very) tough afternoon & will probably get battered. However I never go against my team so am predicting that rarest of days were both Dorch & West Ham win.
As stated in a previous thread I’d like to see a managerial announcement made today, with whoever taking charge for the NYD fixture. We shall have to wait & see.

Had a bit of time to reflect on yesterday and must say we deserved a point. Having said that though had Poole had a decent striker we’d of been mullered! I’m not Shane Murphy’s biggest fan but he didn’t deserve the way the goal came about. He made some excellent saves and claimed everything in the box. Thought Rose looked excellent when he came in as well. A difficult result to take. Anyone else have any views on the game?

I'm surprised by how poor Poole were; they're meant to be chasing promotion and they barely looked like scoring against us even when we were down to 9 players. What tastes really bitter about our defeat is that Poole's goal came immediately after we were denied a blatant Free Kick inside their half of the pitch. If we had a competent Referee then we could have gotten a point, if not all 3.
Our next two games are very important as they are winnable Fixtures, although I'm not feeling much optimism.

Again the quality of referring was poor, at least its consistent!!! Can’t deny I was surprised with Poole’s lack of quality up top (even after they made an early sub). I thought they moved the ball well but (bit like us) lacked a killer instinct. If Boxing Day was a big game than NYD is massive!! 100% must win if we have any chance of staying up.

The lates rumour had been Dave Martin secretary / Director is also on the fa southern LGs The talk was there not bothered to fulfill the manager as yet.Theleague as it stands only 2 drop to div south at the end of the season and 2 come up to south prem Take this in only one club will go down and one up so why the panic personal thoughts is mr Martin in the know and if this talk is true it’s a cop out Even if true we are only 1 point ahead of bottom team, we have played two games more, and we have a worse goal difference. Happy New Year!

Just to add on majority of teams in the lower league do not fit the criteria with their facilities and finances to step up .

Dave Martin is as big of snake as they come. Genuinely couldn’t think of a worse person to have calling some of the shots as it stands - spineless comes to mind.
Fans deserve direction, fans deserve a decent manager finally, not a game of chance on who can’t fulfil what. If true, the mans a bigger joke than I ever once thought.

Also, was the issue of the racist chant behind the goal accusation ever resolved? If its still ongoing could we not possibly lose points if the club is found guilty

Doesn’t seem quite right that because he’s not wanted elsewhere he’s here sucking the blood from this club. Grade-A snake that we should be rid of. Never mind, hopefully they do another Star Wars and he gets to reprise his role as Jabba the Hutt.

Dave Martin has given many , many years of quality service to our club. Mistakes will have been made along the way but for his experience alone, he’ll be a better guy to have involved than most of the amateur dictators in the boardroom.
